Job Description: Power BI Developer
Location: Remote Contract Position - 6 months
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power BI Developer for a contract position to design, develop, and deploy high-quality dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Power BI development, strong technical skills in DAX, M, and SQL, and a passion for data visualization and transformation. This role requires close collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and end-users to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
- Utilize DAX, M, and SQL for programming, data modeling, and report development.
- Perform data cleansing and transformation to ensure high-quality data visualizations.
- Develop relational data models and implement Star Schemas to support efficient analytics.
- Create and manage Power BI Dataflows and Data Sets; deploy solutions using the Power BI Service.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver customized reporting solutions.
- Document development work, including data architecture, processes, and visualizations.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and maintain the integrity and security of data.
Qualifications:
Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including dashboards, reports, and Power BI Service deployments.
- Advanced skills in DAX, M, and SQL programming.
- Proven experience with data cleansing, transformation, and visualization techniques.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and experience with SQL Server.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement Star Schemas in Power BI.
- Familiarity with Power BI Dataflows and enterprise deployment practices.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for documentation and team collaboration.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in working with cross-functional teams and gathering business requirements.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
Knowledge of advanced Power BI features like R and Python integration is a plus.

Location: Remote (Work from Home - USA only
Duration: 6 months +
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
